Copycat Chick-Fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies
After a long day, nothing is better than a chewy, chocolate-y cookie! I love the cookies from Chick-Fil-A – when we make a trip there, I figure, hey the kids get an ice cream cone, I’m going to get a treat too!
But I have a favorite recipe you can make at home that comes pretty close to the real thing! Anyone hungry yet? I feel I need to go make me a batch . . . 😀
Copycat-Chick-Fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/8 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. I love using parchment paper to line my cookie sheets – cut sheets of parchment paper to fit your cookie sheets. If you don’t have parchment paper, you can simply grease the cookie sheets.
2. Mix together butter and the two sugars until smooth. I like to warm the butter in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it (but don’t melt it too much or your cookies may spread and flatten out in the oven!), then add the sugars and mix.
3. Mix in the egg and vanilla.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix together well and combine with the wet ingredients.
5. Stir in the oatmeal and chocolate chips.
6. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto your cookie sheets. If you want the bigger Chick-Fil-A-like cookie, make your spoonfuls bigger!
7. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Now I really want some cookies!!! 😀
Enjoy!!!

they turned out so good !! thank you:)
I’m so glad you liked them!!! They are my favorite go to cookie recipe! 🙂
These were so good! Made them as a sweet treat for the super bowl yesterday. I followed the recipe as written and added a pinch of cinnamon (because I love it!). They were perfectly sweet and soft.
I’m so glad you enjoyed them!!! I will have to try them with the cinnamon! 🙂
Omg I’ve been on this baking kick since COVID, and these are the best cookies I’ve made by far! I even doubled the recipe because my nephews are always coming over, and they eat a lot, and it still worked. I don’t know how you came up with this, but these are the best! Thank you!
I am so glad you enjoyed them! They are my absolute favorites!!! 🙂
Has anyone tried adding peanut butter ? That would make these my dream cookie!
That actually sounds amazing! I might have to try that… 🙂
Love this recipe! I shared with a friend and hers turned out flat. What did she do wrong?
Hmmm, a possibility is your butter was too soft or melted. You could try chilling the dough before placing on the cookie sheet and see if that helps! I’m glad you enjoyed the recipe though!
I have had that happen to me before with other recipes and it was because i didnt have enough flour. I forgot a cup in a 2 cup recipe 🤦♀️. She may have forgot the 1/8 cup. Hope this helps.
These are so easy to make and they are delicious.
I’m so glad you liked them! They are my favorites! 🙂
I made these last night, and they are fantastic! My whole family loves them. Thank you!
Just what I’ve been looking for! This is my new favorite sweet treat to bring to parties!
These cookies are the best! Thanks so much for the recipe.
When I tell you this is the best cookie I’ve ever made…. My family and friends all thank you for such a perfect recipe!!! It made 12 perfect Chick-fil-A sized cookies!!
These are delicous! They taste just like the chik fil a ones! Yum!
Delicious! I would definitely recommend and this was exactly the sweet fix I was looking for!
Just made your cookies and they r great ,very good taste .Love them .Would like more of your recipes . Thanks so much
How many cookies does this recipe make? Thanks
It really depends on how big you make them! I usually get a dozen or a dozen and a half.
Do you use salted or unsalted butter?
I typically use unsalted!
I love this recipe and cook it anytime I want some chcocolatw chip cookies. But I noticed every time I baked them, they turned out flat. The solution to this is to add about a cup or half a cup more flour, and they are beautiful and puffy!
I LOVE chick-fil-a cookies and have tried many recipes to get them about the same. These beat them all though!!
Thanks so much!
